Graduate Programs

The Graduate School at Brown University is a world-class institution that offers various master’s and doctoral programs. The school offers degrees in over 50 fields, including economics, humanities, science and engineering.

Graduate programs are a great way to prepare for a career in your field. You’ll learn more about your chosen field, gain valuable experience and build relationships with professors who can help you get into graduate school or find a job.

If you’re thinking about going to graduate school, here are some things to consider:

What is a graduate program? A master’s degree is typically earned after completing an undergraduate program, while doctoral programs require an advanced degree (usually a master’s). Some fields have professional certificates that can be earned in just 1-2 years and bachelor’s degrees.

Why should I go? Many people go on for further education after earning their bachelor’s degree because they want more knowledge in their chosen field or think it will make them more marketable when looking for jobs later. The truth is that whether or not it does make sense financially depends on what kind of job opportunities exist then–but generally speaking, yes! It usually does pay off over time since employers value higher levels of education more than lower ones when making hiring decisions.”

The fifth-year master’s degree at Brown University allows students who have already earned their undergraduate degree from another institution to complete both degrees in five years instead of six, saving time and money.
