Open Curriculum

The Undergraduate Open Curriculum (UGC) program is designed to give students the tools to create their individualized undergraduate degree. Students choose their courses in consultation with their advisors, who help guide them through their course selections and advising process.

This program’s main focus is that students design their majors and minors by selecting specific courses from across all departments at Brown University. The UGC allows you to take classes outside your department to gain exposure to different fields within your chosen discipline or interdisciplinary area of interest.
