Harvard University is one of the most selective universities in the world, with an acceptance rate of 5%. Students from outside the United States must apply for admission and provide SAT or ACT scores, high school transcripts, letters of recommendation and other academic credentials. Additional requirements may be necessary depending on your country of citizenship and language proficiency level as determined by standardized tests such as TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language).
Financial Aid is available to students from all countries, regardless of citizenship status. Financial Aid is based on demonstrated need, the family's ability to pay, academic record, and citizenship status.

You must take either the ACT or SAT by December of your junior year (if you’re applying Early Action) or November 1st if you’re using Regular Decision. The English language proficiency requirement for international applicants is a minimum TOEFL score of 100 (internet-based), 600 (paper-based) or 6.5 IELTS band score. International Applicants must submit an official TOEFL or IELTS score with their application. The TOEFL/IELTS scores must be less than two years old.
