The University of Phoenix is a private institution that has been around since 1975 and offers various programs, including business, technology and health management. There are a number of requirements for applying to one of these programs if you’re interested in enrolling.

How to Get Admission to the University of Phoenix
To get admission to the University of Phoenix, you first must ensure you meet all the requirements.
- You must be a high school graduate or have equivalent credentials (GED).
- Your GPA should be 2.0 or higher on a 4-point scale (2.5 is ideal). This applies only if you are applying as an undergraduate student; if you’re applying as a graduate student, your GPA requirement might vary depending on your major field of study and area of interest within that significant field. In addition, if English isn’t your first language and it’s not one of the languages supported by the school for its online courses (for example, Spanish), then an additional language test score may be required before being admitted into any specific program/major at UOPXA
The University of Phoenix Admission Eligibility & Requirements
You must meet the following requirements to be eligible for admission to the University of Phoenix, an accredited institution that offers undergraduate and graduate programs.:
- Obtaining a high school diploma or GED
- A minimum 2.0 GPA on all college coursework attempted.
- Completion of a bachelor’s degree from another regionally accredited institution within five years before application date (if applicable)
University of Phoenix Application Deadlines
The University of Phoenix application deadline is May 31. If you’re applying for fall 2019, the deadline is December 1.
The University of Phoenix also has an international student application deadline of June 15 for both semesters and summer sessions.
In addition to the application deadline for the University of Phoenix, you’ll also need to submit a $50 application fee and official transcripts from any colleges you’ve attended. If you have international degrees, you’ll also need an equivalency report from World Education Services (WES).
University of Phoenix Application Requirements for International Students
International students must meet the following requirements:
- Proof of English proficiency – You need to provide evidence that your English skills are at least equivalent to those required for admission into an undergraduate or graduate program in the U.S.
Before you can be admitted, you must submit a TOEFL or IELTS score. If you do not have these scores, you must take and pass UMKC’s English proficiency test.
