The Graduate School

Medill School of Journalism

The Medill School of Journalism, Media, and Integrated Marketing Communications offers a range of graduate programs in journalism, advertising and public relations. The school is located in Evanston, Illinois- about 20 miles north of downtown Chicago- and strongly focuses on digital media and social media.

Pritzker School of Law

The Pritzker School of Law is a top-ranked law school that offers a variety of programs and opportunities. The school has a strong alumni network, and its students can access clinical and experiential learning opportunities.

MBA Program

An MBA program can lead to a variety of careers in business, including finance, marketing and management. The curriculum is designed to teach you the skills needed to succeed in these fields.

The length of an MBA program varies depending on your experience level and chosen specialization area. 

M.D. Admissions

The MD program at Northwestern University is a five-year program that admits students through the School of Medicine. The admissions process is extremely competitive, with only a small percentage of applicants accepted each year. The MD admissions requirements include the following:

  • GPA: A minimum 3.7 GPA or higher on a 4-point scale (4 being the highest)
  • MCAT scores: A minimum score of 24 in each section and an overall sum score of 78 or higher on the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) taken within three years before the application date; however, if you took the test more than three years ago, you must submit recent coursework prerequisites such as biology, chemistry and organic chemistry courses

Bienen School of Music

The Bienen School of Music is one of the top five music conservatories in the country. The school offers degrees in composition, conducting, jazz studies, piano performance and pedagogy (piano), strings (violin) as well as voice performance – all undergraduate degrees are bachelor’s degrees that require four years to complete; master’s programs require two years of study; doctoral programs take three years maximum.
